About Me

Yashraj Sandeep Patil is a dedicated Assistant Professor at SNJB’s College of Engineering in Chandwad, Nashik, where he empowers youth with expertise in STEM, Diplomacy, and Research. He earned his Master of Technology (Engineering Design) by Research from Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, receiving Chancellor’s Gold Medal Award for Best Outgoing Indian Student in Post Graduate programme honoured by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu at the 21st Convocation Ceremony of the Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, India.

Yashraj leads the GLOBE Lab Pilot Project, promoting STEM Research through The GLOBE Program, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and Science Diplomacy. He emphasizes the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—’the world is one family’—inspired by his education at Symbiosis. Yashraj has presented at the 78th UN General Assembly Science Summit and authored “Harmony 360 – Advancing Humanity through Wisdom of SEE and Saptajyotirvikas.” As a former Peer mentor at NASA’s SEES Summer High School Internship Program he mentored the future scientists/NASA interns and serves as a GISN Scientist at The GLOBE Program.

As a UNITAR GLOBE Diplomacy Fellow from Spring 2023 Cohort, He is committed to the Global Diplomacy and keeps bridging the world with various STEM diplomatic initiatives in academia & research streams and helping rural youths to surface themselves on the International Platforms showcasing their core talents making world a better place. He is also a Convenor for 2025 Science Summit during the 80th Session of UN General Assembly and also a UNGA Science Summit Presenter since past three years.

His notable achievements include high-altitude GLOBE observations in Ladakh, which earned him the title of “Rising GLOBE Superstar,” featured in NASA’s Science Activation Nugget. Yashraj’s diverse experience as a Software Engineer at Hexaware Technologies further demonstrates his commitment to using STEM, Diplomacy, and Philosophy for global impact. His passion and collaborative spirit make him a key figure in connecting academia, industry, and diplomacy.

His interdisciplinary research spans Sustainable Development, Earth & Climate Sciences, IoT, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Global & Science Diplomacy, and Humanities & Social Sciences.
